When a guest blogger creates a post on an established blog with it’s owners permission it is termed as Guest blogging.  Guest posting is a friend’s feed which benefits both the host blogger and the guest.  it creates more net working opportunities for the blog owner and the poster both.  Since guest post is a planned special post it has all the best features of a post enhanced and optimized, that is SEO Contents and Links.

In order to get traffic from search engines you need to have fresh contents and links.  Contents are needed by search engines to read.  The more content you have the more chances you have to appear in search engines again and again.  The more contents you have the more links you can create.  Google’s page rank formula used to be based on links between sites to establish the rank of the sites.  Building links is an important part of the SEO campaigns.

In blogsphere, guest posts and its links are very important to create a higher visibility.  These links are popular because links create free and permanent text links.  Articles also do the same job.  but then again a guest post most of the time is written with very relevant and fresh blog contents, as blog poster is over cautious and want to prove to be a blog content writer,  Google approves guest posts as these posts can easily use anchor text links to the main keywords you need to link text or anchor text.

Guest posts are also important because they have great value for the blogger and blog writers.  In many cases these posts stay longer on the home page of the blog.

• These guest posts are promoted by the poster and the blog itself.  This brings a very high volume of traffic to the blog and the guest poster blogger.  This creates a great situation for both.  An increase in the readership for both parties is a great benefit of guest post.

• Since these posts are planned by two parties, it is a brain drain of the two people.  From planning to agreement and then the post itself is written with stricter compliance policies, for contents and links and SEO tactics.  This post has most latest new information than an average blog post and it uses more resourcefulness than a regular article.  Naturally the readership is more.  A guest post provides an extraordinary benefits to all including the readers.

• Guest blogging creates more networking opportunities for the blog owner and poster both.  Page rank goes up and the popularity boosts.

But at the same time, sometimes it does not work out so well for some.  In order to control this drawback we can always work on an agreement between the parties and come over this problem.  I will discuss this in the next post.
